Humans have got a lot of excellent characteristics but the ability to see well in the dark is unfortunately somewhat lacking. Human vision is restricted to a small percentage of the electromagnetic spectrum known as visible light. It is practical for human beings to see outside this range by utilizing hardware allowing us to capture non-visible sources of electromagnetic radiation generally known as infrared light.
