In case you didn’t know, spring is festival season in Louisiana. Most towns and even communities host at least one festival. Many people call Louisiana the Festival state. There are so many good things in Louisiana to celebrate. Not to be outdone by mere cities many of these are held at the one and only New Orleans Audubon Zoo. Soul Fest was last weekend, a colorful celebration of African-American culture held on the Zoo grounds. Creole cuisine and soul food mixed with R&B and hip hop kicked off a round of happenings at NOLA’s own “animal house”, the Audubon Zoo.
